LANGUAGE ARTS BOOT CAMP-CLOSED TO NEW REGISTRATION AS OF 05/23

The Summer English Boot Camp is geared towards rising 7th and 8th-grade students who want to be more confident in their writing and reading skills before the school year starts. Students will discuss CECc paragraphs and read texts ranging from Fiction to Nonfiction to Poetry. Students will have voice and choice in their readings but will hone their annotation and analytical responses to the reading that they select each day. All lessons will help students grow in their critical and creative thinking skills, and all students will receive feedback from current Cooper teachers and peers throughout the week. This boot camp is a good opportunity for students to meet other students, review or learn new skills, and engage in thinking over the summer.
